Original Jaguar boot spoiler fitting?
Hi Fellow Jagites
I have recently bought an X 03 2.1 petrol SE. I am in the UK where this model is available. I believe the 2.1 ltr was just too small an engine for the American market. Believe me with the petrol prices here in the UK soaring to the highest ever at £1.22 per Ltr or £5.55 per UK gallon ($8.55) I am glad I did not buy the 3.0 ltr!!!
Anyway to my question. I have been looking at buying extras for my car, I have already bought a Jaguar mesh grill, and Chrome tailpipe finisher. All from a Jag dealer who is selling old stocks on Ebay. This guy also has a primed Boot spoiler that I am interested in buying especially as it is a genuine part. ON discussing the fitting of this with the guy, he was not sure but thought it was screwed to the boot lid as well as the adhesive tape. screwed from the underneath of the boot lid. He was not entirely sure but I have to take his word for it as he does work in the parts department of this well known dealer.
I am apprehensive about drilling holes in my boot to fit this as I have seen on ebay and discussed here about stick on spoilers from the far east.
Could someone please tell me if the genuine boot lid spoiler is screwed through the boot or just stuck on.
Thanks in advance.
