Does anyone know if the basic lights phone and sunroof overhead console, can be replaced with the map lights, garage door opener, phone, and sunroof console, without hacking a beautiful car apart. Is it plug and play, or is there another harness involved?.....Be cool.....Mike

 

That depends on a number of things: first, the MY of your X Type (More useful in your signature block than any other personal info!), second, whether your current roof console is all on a single printed circuit board with a single multi wire connector or lots of separate connectors. The GD Opener would appear to be available only in the printed circuit arrangement, requiring the single multi plug whose colour and number of pins varies according to MY
