P1647
Hi all
i have a Jaguar x type 2003 v6 2.0 Ltr petrol engine.
okay, does anyone know why the code P1647 and of course the MIL is on. Here’s what’s happened so far: took the car for its yearly MOT test and if failed the emissions tes and highlighted the code P1647. The lambda sensor was removed by the garage and replaced with a new on, went through a new MOT and passes the emissions test and is now road worthy.
so far so good. Back at home I then poured 500ml of Cataclean, checked all the fuses and connections, all good.
the the following day the MIL is on, I then put my isoft or connected to the OBD to checks for faults only to find the one fault which was bank two sensor two, P1647.
i should add the sensor that was taken out was a Denso. The replacement was also a Denso all done through a garage.
am I missing something here or should I be looking at the ECU?
i would be appreciate anyone who can shed some light on this frustration
lastly, would it had been better if had put on a Bosch sensor
thanks as always guys

P1647 is Bank 2 (radiator side), Sensor 1 (upstream).
Make sure they replaced the correct one firstly, then check all the wiring hand over hand to see if there is a chaffed section, lastly unplug sensor and clean the contacts well of any corrosion, dirt, oil, grease, etc.
And check the fuse.
