THere is an oval shaped piece of plastic in between the two headlamps missing on the left side of my car, can anyone advise what these are called and if I can buy them.

Welcome to the forum AARON84,

I've stared at the thumbnail, enlarged it and still can't see what's missing.

Do you mean the Aperture Seal (item 11):

If so, that will be a Dealer part.

When you get a minute, please follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...-intro-must-5/ to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST section and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. Aaron84, welcome to the forums. I think you will like it here. So, stick around, enjoy the conversations and add in where you see fit. But, we do ask a small favor of you as you get involved. Please stop by the New Member Section and introduce yourself. We are quirky in that we like to pride ourselves in being a different car club and we like to get to know one another. Also, it will allow you to figure out who the movers and shakers are around these parts.

As for what you are after, you are after what is called the "headlight washer assembly". Unfortunately, it is going to cost a lot more than you think for that little cover. The reason for this is that you have to get the whole washer assembly and not just that cover. I know it costs about $100 USD. Then you might have to pay a little more to have a paint shop color match it to your car as I do not recall if it comes pre-painted or not.

I think this is what you need. You can also have them paint to match for you: New Jaguar x Type Left Headlight Washer Jet Covers in Your Color | eBay

Thought I was too because the headlight washer covers are indeed in place! But then I wondered if he means that square shaped feature in the left hand side of the bumper, level with the reg plate? Looks like it could be a tow hook cover, but there isn't anything like that in that position on mine!
