I'm going to try buying a cheap 3156 for testing purposes. The reason being that I want to do a full LED conversion and I've found some 3156 bulbs with built in resistors that guarantee no hyperflash, but nothing like that for 3157s

For the front headlight/ turn signal light. Any tips on getting this bulb out? I see on the US driver's side it looks like I am going to have to take the battery and battery housing off to get more room to work. Passenger side looks even worse. Any help would be appreciated.
The rear lights are relatively easy. Yes, remove the entire tail light assembly and then the turn signal bulb access is no problem

The front lights are a different story. Slight variations in the engine compartment layout can make the job much more difficult than it should be. In my case I could gain access to the drivers side by removing the battery box. However, the only way I could get to the passenger side was by removing the front bumper.

Before committing yourself to the job of changing the front lights do a forum search. Sometimes you can cheat a little, but the service manual does call for removing the front bumper to service the headlights.

Besides being difficult to access the front headlight assemblies are very fragile and quite expensive to replace. The job is doable and not expensive if done successfully, but proceed with caution and take your time.

Thanks for the tips Tiger88. I plan on acquiring all the bulbs I need so that I can replace them all in one shot.
Putco H1 yellows for the fogs
Putco H1 white for the high beams
Stealth turn signals on all 4 corners
and LED bright backup lights

Default I know this is an old thread but...

Well my front drivers turn signal died. Read this thread and have a 2002. The bulb in the socket was a 3457AK. Rectangular base. OK, what's the difference between the 3457 and the 3157? Which is the correct bulb? I had to do some research as this bulb is not listed as a Jaguar bulb. I found it under a 2002 Ford Taurus.

I found that someone asked a similar question on one of the Ford forums. Here's the reply from Sylvania:

Thank you for your inquiry. Though parts 3157, 3457, and 4157 look similar, they are made to different operating specifications and are not considered interchangeable. We recommend that you replace with the same part number that was used as original equipment. With that said, here are the operating specifications for each of the three part numbers listed:

Lamp Filament Voltage Wattage Lumens
3157 Minor 14 8.26 37
3157 Major 12.8 26.88 402
3457 Minor 14 8.26 37
3457 Major 12.8 28.54 502
4157 Minor 14 8.26 37
4157 Major 12.8 28.54 402
