does anyone have any info on oil pan gaskets on xtypes?

Lenny, the gasket is like $50. As for the labor, plan on spending about $1000. IT is a fairly drawn out thing and requires lots of dis-assembly of the underside of the car. So, unless it is making a big mess, I would recommend just checking the oil a little more often.

I'm sure some others will pipe in here shortly with what they spent getting the gasket replaced. Please note, some shops will attempt to bypass a lot of the labor and will drill out a hole in the side of the transfer case. THIS IS A BAD IDEA!!!! The transfer case is weak enough as it is. You don't need to be removing more metal from it, making the case weaker. Sure, it may save you $500 off the labor, but potentially at the cost of a new transfer case (to the tune of like $2500).
