I have a 2002 X-Type Automatic with 61000 miles on it.

I just purchased it in December 2006. Any way, when I lock and unlock the doors, the passenger side front and rear doors do not lock and unlock. The alarm will arm, and if I open the passenger side front or rear door, the alarm will sound.

When I press the lock on the key, the drivers side front and rear doors will lock, but not the passenger side front and rear doors. I have to manually lock and unlock the passenger side front and rear doors from the inside of the car.

Anyone know what might be the problem?

 

When I click the lock/unlock button on the keyfob, I do not hear anything at the passenger side front and rear doors. When I manually unlock and lock either passenger side front and rear door from the inside of the car, the drivers side doors lock and unlock as well. However, if I manually lock either the passenger side front or rear door, the other passenger side door does not lock or unlock, yet there is a sound like the driver side locks are responding.

Any ideas, folks?

Regarding the linkages, are they connected to the actuators and push and pull the device that activate the locks?

Is there a write up on removing and replacing the actuators?

Is there an after market supply house where I can purchase replacement actuators?
