Default PCV Breather Hose Collapsing

Hi all,

The PCV breather hose seems to be collapsing when the engine is running. I assume this isn’t normal, but wanted to ask if anyone has experience with this? Wondering if the hose is poor quality (too pliable) or the PCV valve failed. I replaced both last summer. Here are pictures.

Thanks. I have already replaced he upper and lower intake gaskets as well as and changed the plugs. I have new hoses on order and will try that next. Hopefully that’s the issue. Any other advice?
