I am about to change my partial load breather hose on the car. This is the hose that runs from the left hand valve cover, under the intake manifold to the TB. There is another hose of the same design, larger diameter that is connects to the TB or TB elbow (#9 on attached file). Where does this hose go and should I replace it as long as I am replacing the one. The Jaguar parts book has it listed as “Moulded air hose-inlet manifold-plenum” part # AJ8 1211

The convoluted hose #9 is for the air shrouded injectors.

Thanks for the respond. Is this hose something I need to worry about replacing. It seems in good shape, but after seeing the condition of the breather hose that seems to break apart with the least movement, I want to be prepared. New is about $250. used on ebay less than $50.

 

You'll have to make that call!!!! It probably does not get heat soaked like the breather hose under the manifold.

Glen, are you changing the hose because it has a leak, if so are you getting a code? I'm trying to track down an evap leak and found this hose was attempted to be repaired by someone and the repair failed.
