Hello all, we have a nasty situation in a foreign country where we are stuck due to complicated circumstances. There is no lock up garage where I can park, and there is no chance to find one anywhere close by. So the car is parked near the house and there are no good gates either. I started noticing scratches on the car in the last few days and though I know who it is the police won't do anything at all, they are laughing at such calls. So my only chance is to use the alarm but I have no idea if it is configured to react to touch. The car is 17 years old, X type hatchback, 2.5, bought in Spain and configured for Spain. Maybe someone could advise me how to check this? Thank you so much in advance!

 

Short answer is no. The option would be hide out of sight and when the perpetrator(s) start doing it, manually set the alarm off with your fob.
