P1000 is simply saying that the computer has been reset and it hasn't seen a complete driving cycle. Drive the car for 10 minutes and then see if you are still getting the P1000 code. If you are, then you have a power issue. If you get a P1111 code (all is good following the complete self diagnostics) and when you restart the car you have the P1000 code again, then you have a blown fuse (most likely) feeding the memory of the ECM. The ECM memory is powered off of the battery.

Zibby, I need you to get your hands on a multimeter. Now, find fuse F32 (5 amp fuse) and set the multimeter to read VDC and put the black lead against a bare metal surface and then the red led tip on the 2 small posts sticking out the top of the fuse (one at a time). what you are looking for is 12.6 VDC on both of the posts. If you get 12 VDC on one side but not the other, the fuse is bad. if you don't get 12 VDC on either post, you have a problem with the fuse box. If you get 12 VDC on both posts, more looking around is needed.

From here, you will need to locate the ECM (passenger side of the engine bay, back near the hinge for the hood. This is a large plug (134 wire plug). You are after spot 22 (if you look on the plug, at the edges, you should see numbers, right side should say 134, 106, 80, 54, and 28 from top to bottom), which is on the bottom row, right side, 7th pin in from the right side. Do you get 12 VDC there? If no, then the wiring between the fuse box and the ECM is bad, unless you are electrically inclined, probably best to have a shop fix it for you. If there is 12 VDC there, then there is a high chance you have a problem with the ECM and you will require a new ECM. Again, if you are not electrically inclined, I would be recommending seeing a shop and seeing what they can do to check the ECM for you.

Hopefully this gets you atleast on the right road to repair.
