Hi Guys,

A month or so ago I read a post (could be an old one as i do read them) about installing cigarette lighter sockets in the top of the glove box and tapping the power from an unused plug behind the steel brace.

I have all the parts in and the glove box out....but no power plug.

Now I cannot find the post ( a great one with photos) by searching and it looks like I did not save the link.

Am I just dreaming? (I do that too)

 

It is attached to the rear of this tubular crossmember, bugger to find!!

 

Maybe see it better here!! Black connector under the red tape, three wires - Black, Brown/green, Brown!!

 

Larry, those are right hand drives; the fuse block is under and to the right of the steering column. The good news is that the taps are there.

On our Left-hand drive cars, the GEMS module is behind the glovebox.

 

Oh thanks I will cancel my appointment with the eye doctor.....
