Programmed key said 'security failed' today?
I've been using this key (the electric one) that was programmed for a long time (couple years now... maybe even since 2004) and today I went to put it in after being gone for 3-4 hours driving it just fine, and all of a sudden I notice the tranny fault light (red light above the coin slot right under the shifter) start to light and then I see it said 'security failed' like my unprogrammed key. I took the key out, put it back in, and started it no problem.
Was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, was it of any significance, or should I just let it go? The red tranny fault light was also blinking slowly when I got to my house, got out and locked the car (I can't remember if it always did this so it was just worrying me). Or... is this a bit more important. `Cause there could've been that chance that the key just went to **** and I had no way of starting my car right there.

I've had that twice, sometimes it's hard for the car to read the transponder in the key so it won't start. Like when you don't open the flip key all the way or have your key with a bunch of other keys. Nothing to worry.
