Default Pulley problem?

Hi everyone! My name is nick, I'm a new member and I own a 2002 jaguar x-type 3.0. I'm actually having a problem with it at the moment and I think I have an idea of what it is but am not too sure and was just wondering if anyone knew. Over the summer the AC stopped working and there was a weird noise coming from the area around the right wheel somewhere. Then the timing belt snapped so I replaced it and it snapped again. I'm not too sure but I think the pulley may be bad. If so how much would It cost to replace and is it a project that an be done yourself?

new pulleys are around $20 at your local auto parts store (may need to cross reference with a Lincoln LS 3.0L). Replacing it is pretty straight forward. A single bolt in the center and the pulley comes off. As for accessing it, that will take a little bit of work and patience. But, you can do it yourself.
