Default PVC heater coolant hose

The 2.1 v6 has a heating system to warm up the PVC system.
One of the coolant hoses burst open so i lost much coolant.
The hoses are not available anymore.
Can you guys give me advise howto repair this?
The hose is on one end wider than the other end so i can't use a standard piece of hose.

Thanks!

could you mark the hose you are asking about on your picture or better: find a picture of it on the internet and post it?

Without knowing, what hose you are looking for:
If you search for "PVC hose Jaguar X-Type" you get a few hits on Aliexpress.

Really surprised that you can't find replacement(s).
Have you tried from our forum sponsors? Online?

I replaced all of my coolant hoses a year or so ago.
I don't recall any issues with supply of heater hoses.
However, my X400 is 3.0L AWD, so maybe different to yours.

I recall that some were OEM, some Gates and some "no brand".
All major ones around rad came as a set from local Oz supplier with integral t/stat.
Others came from different online suppliers.

Cheers and best wishes,

I posted with a similar problem, quite a while ago. American X Types had no 2.1 engines, so that part is not available on any of the suggested places. One of our contributors, H2O2steam, from New Zealand, very graciously worked on a solution for me and came up with this suggestion. I went into a spare parts store in Australia (Supercheap) and that exact pipe was on the shelf. Purchased it, cut it to correct size and it fits beautifully and I haven't had another problem since.
This is part of his post to me:

I was at Repco today picking up some throttle body cleaner to give the XJ8 an overdue Lozenge as it has been clearing its throat a bit at low RPM and particularly when cold, anyhoo took a look along the generic hose rack and saw a Gates 01-0002 heater pipe that might be something you could use by cutting in half to replace the factory odd hoses in a pinch.
It has two pre-shaped bends and the inside diameter is 8mm, so should stretch over the 3/8" and hopefully be able to clamp down to the 1/4" .

Good luck.

Thanks guys!

I found the solution with the Gates 01-0002 hose earlyer but that hose is not available in my country.
I found another hose with thesame dimensions and fixed the PVC heating with it.

Thanks allot.
