Hi All, got myself locked out of my 2008 X type estate yesterday, with it stuck in mud, engine running, in reverse, with the wheels spinning as it idled! All I could think of doing was to smash a window so as to turn ignition off, open boot, and retrieve towing screw/ring. But unfortunately I apparently smashed the wrong window ...the rear quarter light. To replace/fit I've been quoted £1800 (!!!) as it requires"specialist equipment etc etc" which is almost as much as the car is worth. Checked on eBay and I can buy a 2nd hand replacement for £30-40, but not sure how/if I might be able to fit it myself.
So, my question is ..... is there any way I can fit a replacement rear quarter light without "specialist equipment"?? Help please.
