Question on Fog Lights
Are the fog light lenses supposed to be kind of cloudy/scratched up. They aren't that bad, but they certainly are not crystal clear. Mine look like the ones in the in the attached link to another thread. You have to look real close to see what I am talking about, it is almost as if the lights have been sand blasted to a certain extent!

Four Stroke, brand new lenses will be crystal clear. BUt, through driving the car, they will get "sand blasted" a little bit and turn cloudy. Especially up in MI, when they put sand/salt on the road, it is only going to make it that much worse. Unfortunately, due to the shape of the bumper where the fog lights sit, it funnels all the material right to the lenses and it is hard on them.
You can try using a rubbing compound to pull out the scratches, but in a short period of time, you are going to be back where you are now. I wish there was a better answer, but I haven't found it yet.

Four Stroke, what year Fusion are you looking at doing that with. I just happen to have a 2010 Fusion sitting in my driveway. I can possibly help you out with that project. The big problem I see just looking at the cars at the moment is the Fusion fog lights are a little smaller than the X-Type's. But then, it can be an optical illusion. A ruler will clarify that.

Four Stroke, you may want to do some looking around at either some other cars that have a fog light near what ours have or you can also look at some 4x4 shops as they tend to have a large selection of aftermarket lights there and they can normally be fitted to a lot of different applications. Then you can even get a lens that will handle higher wattage bulbs or even HID bulbs without any modification to the housing.
I looked at my Focus today and the ones on the 2010 appear to be a focused beam with the lens being about 2.5" in diameter. The fog lights on our X's are about 4" in diameter. So, while it will fit in the hole, I don't think it will look right.
