As for V8's and STI's their great for races, but all around performance in day to day use, I love my Jag.

the 2.5 auto might be a bit different, but the 3.0 auto with Sport mode is great on the highways, I'd challenge any other entry level luxury car (my X-type bested an A4, CTS, and a C class Benz) .. I just wouldnt do itstop light to stop light.
As a matter in fact the New MB C class has the exact same specs as the X-Type 3.0. both V6 at 227HP, top speed at 121mph, and 0-60 in 7.1 with auto trans, AWD is ALOT extra on a MB though...

Well someone today tried to beat me in a stop light to a stop light lol. Well he had a 1997 or 1998 Grand Cherokee and thought he had a chance. Well I was in the car with my dad since I dont have my license, my dad said go for it. The road I was on was 2 lanes and going into 1 lane in about a quarter of a mile. As it was a short distance I beat him with the sport mode. Sucker thought he really had a chance. Also mine is the 2004 x-type 3.0 auto.

You use the j gate yet? Same difference...Actually the new v6 stangs power are pretty decent...your talking a 4.0 v6 vs. a 4.6 v8...not a huge difference...what I say is whats the sense in having an automatic sports car....much like whats the sense in having a manual luxury car? Although driving a stick x would be fun!

I love the evo lancers...man those things kick ****! Just imagine our x's with turbo's![sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=gears.gif]

121? Just looked up on jagaur.com and it confirms it.
Having the electronic limiter over in the States sucks.[]

If its 131 on the speedo then thats about 118 in reality as the speedos read about 10% high.

maybe you hit 131 on a downhill ?
I cant get it to budge over 120 ...

I cant get a definite answer for the top speed ofa new Infiniti G35X, But a 0-60 in 5.5 With AWD. That's sweet ... And from what I hear they will also offer aluminum shift paddles for the 08's. mighty tempting ...

Still 225/45zr17's...so yes change in wheels but has to be same size as they are the same size as the standard sport tires...actually no it is on flat pavement...many people on here have found that the top speed is different on every x...the speedo according to the radar systems and gps I was only off at the most 2 mph...Buck if 10% is the case that would be even less than jags results? Racer had a chip that deleted his limiter and did more than what I was doing! Didn't he?

Hehe. I did a little power brake the other day on mom's X-type at a light....and whoa, put me back in the seat. That was nice power distribution thanks to AWD.

Then there was the Evo I sat in at a 4k launch, nearly shat my pants. I thought we had a flux capacitor in the back of the thing!!!

I would love to get my hands on an STI or EVO as a next car, but in all reality they both look absolutely ridiculous (like I stepped out of a Japanese anime or something).
I hope your mom uses your college fund on her new transfercase that she is going to need..haha j/k

You may wonder why he's saying this...very dangerous to do with awd...especially with our weak drivetrain. Wonder if the jag warranty covers that?

I would say to really get an accurate reading. put your car in diagnostic mode and that way you can see the actual(realtime) numbers on your miles screen(the screen under the speedo). there is a lot of other good info in there, you can also see your batt voltage in realtime and your rpms in realtime.

How can you delete your speedometer limit racer? Is it expensive to do it?

Are you asking racerx from the forum? He hasn't been here in quite a while...I'll have to take a pic of my speedo reading 131 for y'all...(p.s. I don't care if the top speed is 121 or 124 or whatever others speedo only reads 124 and mine reads 131 every time I've done it on flat ground as you can judge whether that cop car in the middle lane is in fact a cop car if I was going downhill there's more to think about)

My Saab 93 showed 152 on the clock but the Road angel / sat nav using GPS said only 141 mph. The gueages are only " accurate" to around 10%. What I mean is, if your clock is showing 100mph in actual fact you're only doing around 90 - 92mph.

My point is that others have only been able to get their gauges read up to 124...which is supposedly what our governor is set to here in the u.s.

The gps system I had said I was always off by a few miles an hour...I'd trust the gauges more than the stupid satellites...

Wow, really!!! Jeez, and I kept doing 5k launches....oh man, whatever shall I do??? [&:]

Guys, I'm not an idiot. I'm quite aware of this issue and have been even looking into replacing the fluid. Plus, it was like a 2k pansy launch and wot.

Edit: lol, if it was my car and warranty covered it, that'd be another story. I'd be doing all kinds of stupidity.
