So I was getting a rattling noise from the engine on the driver side and I was combing the forum and some said it was the clutch compressor or something to do with the a/c... Turns out it was the belt tensioner for the water pump .. I replaced it and pproblem solved now I don't have to hear that anymore it was annoying... Lol

 

Oh boy, you are lucky! My tensioner failed, shredded the belt, the car overheated and I probably came close to destroying the engine.

I never heard any noise. In fact, shortly before it failed, I was listening to the engine with the hood up. Watching the water pump belt operate smoothly.

 

Mine was days from failing and the reason it made noise was the ball bearings that went bad and it was making a crazy rattle... I dodged a bullet for sure.
