Easy, pull gently to pry the clips. New molding just snaps into place

JMan, I just removed my rear bumper to do some work on my chrome trim pieces. The hard part of the whole thing is disconnecting the plugs on the backup sensors. The factory put the clips that need to be lifted so you can disconnect the sensors in the most difficult places to get to.

To remove the bumper cover, you will need to open the boot/trunk. Now, remove the plastic piece around the trunk latch and remove the four 10mm nuts there. Now, pull back the side fabric and remove the two 10 mm bolts on each side (the forward one on the driver's side is a PITA since it is tucked in behind the NAV unit). Now, crawl under the car and remove the 4 fasteners holding the center of the bumper in place. Now, using a T-27 star bit, remove the 2 bolts at the bottom of the wheel well on each side. Finally, reaching up inside of the bumper cover, find the one 10 mm bolt on each side and remove this bolt. At this point you can remove the bumper cover off of the car. You can't pull it too far as there is a wiring harness attached to the bumper cover. Pull the harness from the bumper cover to give yourself a little bit more room. Disconnect the plugs at the side marker lights and the 4 plugs on the backup sensors. Once the bumper cover is clear of the car, you can remove the 5 clips per side to free the chrome trim pieces (note: 1 of the clips per side is hidden under some removable styrofoam pieces).

Install is the oppositie process.

If you have any more questions, ask.

you have to use a metal laced paint base coat on plastic. then you can dip or brush it onto small parts.
