Rear door: Deadlock or not?

Rear door: Deadlock or not?
Dear all!
The rear door latch is worn out. It is time to replace. But I can see 2 different locks on the list:
DEADLOCKING
NON-DEADLOCKING
What is the difference? After I unlock the car with the remote controller I just need to puch the button on the door to open it. When I lock the car, the trunk locks too, and I can hear no second click in the lock.
(X-Type Exec, year 2003, 3.0 automatic, LHD)
