Default Rear parking sensors for X-Type

Hello,

My parking sensor is not working. I'd like to order a new one, but I don't want to take rear bumper apart before new sensor arrives.
Could you tell me, which sensor is located on driver's side corner, where exhaust pipe is (LHD car)? Is it straight or angled?

Thanks.

well i have the stocknumber of the sensor not at hand but i know for certain that the angled type are fitted on the corners as i just removed them. The part of the bumper with the sensors is only fixed with two screws at the end and if you take these out you just pull starting at one end.

It would be helpful if you would list the model year and make of the vehicle in your signature. Assuming it is a 2002-2004 Sedan the part numbers are listed below. If it is a different year or a estate you will have to get back to us with the info.

PARKING AID SENSOR REAR BUMPER INNER
Part #: C2S31534

PARKING AID SENSOR REAR BUMPER OUTER
Part #: C2S31533

JAGBITS one of the sponsors of our forum offers them for about $150.00 each.

Thank you for your advice!

Part no. is not required at the moment, since I order everything through my buddy, who works at part reseller company. He found 2 types of sensors, angled and straight. We got confused, since he doesn't have part diagrams for selected vehicle... Logically we thought, that it's angled, but I just wanted to confirm.

Thank you anyways!

Default Sensors

I saw this car for sale, noticed the rear sensors are in a different location. It is the only one Ive ever seen this way and I like the look much better.

They are aftermarket, since X-Type had parking sensors in the lower lip on the bumper. See on the pic below.

I missed avern1's post. My car is an Estate, registered in 11.2004 (how brits say, 54 plate?). Body is marked as 2005 model. VIN ends with EE3396*
