Some c#!t decided to throw a brick through my rear window to break into my car. I have gotten a spare window from the scrap yard to replace it myself but I am struggling to get the glass back onto both tracks.
I can't seem to get it onto the track on the same side as the small quarter window, I am thinking I might have to take this window out to get the main window back onto the tracks without shattering it in the process.
what do ye think? I can only find information for windscreens in the xtype , and the driver door up front is different too.

I haven't changed one myself, but here is the relevant section from the work shop manual. It appears that you are correct and the small quarter window must be removed.
