Do i need to send shocks back and get sport series shock or comfort series shock would work with 02 xtype 2.5 sport??

You want all the shocks to be the same...sport or comfort. Your kitty won't handle correctly if you mix and match. How many miles are on your xtype? I'm curious as I at 98K and am pondering when I might need to replace them.

hk, See my PM I sent you. To the best of my knowledge, the true sports models did not come with a 2.5L motor, they all come with a 3.0L motor. Also, i think you might be confusing the sport mode with the sport model. All X-Types have the sport mode, but not all are sport models.

for sure the 2.5 were available with the sport package.

I would make sure you put replacement shocks of the right type for the suspension on your car.

Default Use correct shock

There are obvious external and internal hints for the sport model; rear deck spoiler, 17" wheels, color matched bumper trim, seat, steering wheel trim, etc. The ride is much firmer than comfort series. Sport's came with either a 2.5 or 3.0 motor. The last 6 digits of VIN will identify the trim for a supply co.
