Rear Shocks
My rear shocks are blown, so I just bought a new pair of Bilsteins to put in. I have never done shocks on my X before, how difficult are the upper bolts and are there any tips or tricks I should know?
For what I read in the Jaguar Technical Information (I'm a Jaguar Tech) it doesn't seem so bad. The top bolts seem to be aiming down. Here is the procedure:
Removal:
1)Raise and support the vehicle.
2)Detach the damper.
3)Remove the damper.
Installation
1)Install the damper.
2)Attach the damper.
3)Tighten to 25 Nm.
4)Tighten to 130 Nm.

Here is a pick of the top bolts
Good luck! and please visit my blog on the link below!

Search the thread, Luke...
I think someone said that the top bolts are rust-prone and may present a challenge for removal. I believe they said that if they break you may be in
trouble since they are welded in.
Or somethin like that...
