Default RE: A/T recall does exists and others. LIST.

Hi.

I have a 3.0 V6 X type with the Auto Transmission and have encountered a problem.
While driving i get a jolt as the car changes gear. Then when I get to about 60mph if i put my foot down the car revs excessively and wont sit back in gear. I then get the message flash up Gear box Fault. This wont go unless i stop and turn the car off for 5 mins or so then all seems fine. Mine is a 2002 can anyone offer advise?

Thanks

My X type falls within the Vin number range for the Transmission replacement. However out of the near 30000 i am within the last 200. Does anyone know how long Jag will take to recall me and when this recall was issued.
Is there any way I can speed Jag up as I dont want to take mine in with the gearbox fault problem only for them to charge me?

Please help.

Cheers

Please PM me with any info you may have.

I think you are out of luck on this one. I think they closed the re call for this some time ago.

Sit tight, someone will be around shortly to confirm.

Is there a way we can find out what recalls have been done to our car?

Default Transmission Recall Question

Hello,
Just wondering if this falls under the recall for the transmission or not, and what the steps are if it does? 2002 Jaguar X-Type Sport 86k miles, VIN=SAJEA53D92XC22422 and transmission serial=1805006 PL011 Manufactured 9/6/01. Thanks for the help.

I got a DDW printout from my dealer, and it appears my car may still have the original, recalled transmission - my VIN is C04916 and the Gearbox Number is 1377602 PL000. This is just slightly disconcerting, however I do have over 100,000 miles on my car, so I suspect in any case the recall would no longer be honored?

If you wouldn't mind I would really appreciate the following 3 also:

XT303-S932030101Campaign - Cooling Fans Inoperative

Jag_genius,
Did you hear a reason as to why they closed it?
Could they have possibly gone through all the questionable cars?

Just wondering how & why you are using my personal profile ????
