Default Recirculate button

I am sure this is a Jag x Type problem.
Whether Recirculate is on or off under the hood where fresh air is drawn in mine pushes air out the filter. I am guessing a stuck blend door maybe?
I am in Florida and werun a.c. all year long. I would rather be stuck on Recirculate than fresh air.

Any pointers?

Please include a MY.

Many TSBs on this subject but some are VIN specific.

Default Recirculation a

She was built in 07/05 paperwork reads 06 but figured better safe and print build. Vin: SAJWA51A56WE72XXX.

Was in car this morning and rechecked buttons on dash. She seems to switch effortlessly between dash defrost and floor. When on dash and floormix mode dash air seems a little weak.

When on full a.c. at idle get about a 20 degree drop in temp on passenger middle dash vent and 12 degrees on driver middle dash and driver side window dash in driveway. At 50 mph and above 1500 rpm temp drops about 30 degrees off ambient temp. I am in South Florida and it was 92 while doing this.

Had the system evac and held 35 pounds neg pressure. Recharged with the amount required as could best be tested with my gauge and scale. No change.
Both fans are running when a.c. compressor is engaged.

Read about changing the orientation of the spring stacking order in the compressor. Also a few other tsb that I am trying to sort through.

I am assuming need to address the dash buttons and blend doors before delving into the Freon.

On a side note on other cars I've worked on through the years the low pressure line had always sweated and felt cold to the touch. This line is cool and not sweating. Waiting to recheck gauge pressures when heat of day passes. Last check blue was a little in low side at 1800 rpm 25 but wouldnt take any more Freon.

Bought a few months ago and have no service history. Is there a web site that can run the vin or do I need to hit dealer?

Any help appreciated.

Ron
