any body out there can help need to get 6cd changer to work with changed console ie radio cassette to radio cd

 

You need to get the car 'programmed' to identify that you have the cd changer. Unfortunately you do need to find someone who have the correct software to be able to do it.

I too changed from a cassette (with the 6 stack in the boot) to a front cd. I popped into my local independent Jag guy, he plugged the car in via the ODB2 port and a few minutes later all was good. Much, much cheaper (A$20) than going to the official local dealer (who only charges in 1 hour blocks at A$181 - ouch).

Yes I heard that was the case I got a price from my jag dealer £80 I am looking for an independent garage to do it no luck yet any one out there know one near Exeter England
