Red Warning Light - X Type
Hi Guys
I have a 2003 X type that I just love.
Quite recently, I have noticed that in the centre of the speedo (or is it the tacho ???) a red light flashes on. It happens whilst I am driving on and only for a second or so. I have noticed that going over a bump seems to activate it but not always.
To my mind, this could be a loose fan belt (so the alternator is briefly not getting adequate charge) or perhaps a loose electrical connection.
Anyone got any ideas?
I look forward to your expert suggestions guys.
Kind thoughts
Alan

Alan,
I've moved your question from Jaguar Forums Advice / Feedback & Suggestion Center forum to X-Type forum. Advice / Feedback is for posts about the forum and not for tech questions.

hillbilly, when you see the red light, look below it in the message center (where the ODO is). It should state what the red light is for. But, from what you are describing, it is sounding like a loose wire that is giving you heartaches.
I'm going to ditto this..Very likely the trunk (boot) lid is not closed tight or the catch switch is acting up..
