Hi all, I just wanted to highlight something that ( sovereign ty ) one of our new members asked me a short while ago.
He asked about a regional section to allow discussion between members who live relatively close to one another and can organise Jagaur meets / events etc.
Obviously as the US is such a large country and accounts for the majority of our members this seemed like a good idea.
I have spoken with Patrick and run it by him and he seems ok with it, but we just need some input from the regular members as to what would be the preferred option here.
Patrick offered up the regional section as an alternative to the current setup ( as far as I could understand ) which I think may be too radical a change from where we are at present.
I see it as a good " add on " allowing like minded members within a geographical area to organise events / meets and the like.

Any thoughts and or suggestions on this?

I think adding on another "section" to the forums with smaller sub-sections there within would be a good idea. For example, under "Jaguar Models" there is X, S, XJ, XK, etc. The same with the "Jag Classifieds" -- private, vendor, etc.
Tack on a "Regional" section, with subforums such as Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, etc.

My thoughts exactly 310.........Hopefully others will see it the same way too.
I think it could work well as an add on.

Although I can't take credit for it, one of the newbies ( sovereign ty ) put it to me and I just put it out there as ya do. Patrick seemed pretty ok about it too, so it might work, we'll have to see I guess.
Wouldn't that be the sorta thing you n Biggie n the like would go for as you were tryin to sort out a meet if I remember rightly?

Yeah the problem will be co-ordinating the meet! It's hard because we all live far away for the most part!

 

All part of the problem of living somewhere where ( as Biggie says, everything is biggerrrr etc etc ).....lol
We dont tend to have that problem over here, although for me to go to some of the meets in the North of England could be 250 - 300 miles.

I was watching a programme the other night on obesity.........you guys are winning hands down on that one. There was one particular state that was worse than others but I can't remember which one right now.
