Default Removable Tow Bracket

Does anyone know how easy it is to buy and fit a removable tow bracket to an 05 X Type?

I have a trailer which I use to move items but I don't want to see a permenant tow bracket on the car.

Any info / help would be appreciated.

Regards

I had the same idea with mine, it's an estate but I don't see why it shouldn't be the same with a saloon. I just unbolt the rear bracket using the 2 bolts. The electric socket is up behind the bumper by the spare wheel well and I have a short extension cable from the towball socket to a plug. I can't remember the make of the towbar as it was a couple of years ago now but I bought it via ebay from I think A1 towbars (strangely it was cheaper via ebay than direct). Towbar is an easy fit and bolts into existing holes.

Thanks for the info.

I can understand that the tow bracket might be easy to fit but where and how do you connect the electrics?

I used an ordinary socket plate cut down and bent into an L shape to mount the socket onto the side of the spare wheel well pointing downwards. This is wired into the rear light cluster via a 7 way bypass relay. Some say a relay isn't needed but they are inexpensive and easy to wire. You could also buy the expensive Jaguar pre-wired dedicated wiring loom and also mount the socket underneath.
I've taken a picture but it's not too clear as I can't get the camera far enough away to show more due to the ground.
