Default Replace Trunk Emblems

I had the X Type and 2.5 emblems stolen while my car was parked overnight at a hotel. It left imprints in the paint. I sourced a second hand X Type emblem and was wondering what the best adhesive would be to secure the said emblem?

I took mine off intentionally. I debadge all of my vehicles. Leave them off, I say.

flyrr100, when I have to put emblems back on, what I do is run to the auto parts store and get some say 1" wide double sided tape (black normally) and then strip off one side and put the letters on that (may need to put 2 strips side by side). From there, I use an exacto knife to trim around the lettering. From there, peel off the final layer of film and apply to the vehicle.

Option 2 is to do a drive by of a local vinyl shop and see what they can do for you. That way you can add a little twist to your car and even possibly put a little Jaguar on the back of your car. The possibilities would be limitless with this option.

Fatty. I actually do like the look but it's left raised imprints where the badges were. And the 2.5 side has some clear coat stripped off . So I have to replace the badges.

Thanks Thermo for the suggestions.

Since you'd have new emblems on paper at this point, maybe color match them? Some auto spray paint and clear coat would make the emblems blend in to the factory paint a little better. Could be the best of both worlds.

You know what? Thats not a half bad idea. I have some black paint. Yay! Tomorrow's adventure! I'll post pictures when it's done.

flyrr100, I bet a dark gray would look pretty good too. Just light enough to stand out, but dark enough to not be obvious. I always love the mods that others miss until you point it out.
