Replacing cable from battery to fuse box
While my 2002 X-Type is down for a fuel pump repair I'd like to tackle a few other issues. One is the occasional false overheating issue (car indicates it's overheating, but it's not and if I shut it off for 30 seconds or so it's fine again). There are a lot of posts on this but few confirmed solutions, though the general consensus seems to be electrical. I do get some voltage drop between the battery and interior of the car so I though I'd try replacing the cable from the battery to the fuse box as the most obvious solution. I can't find a part number for it, but I think a generic cable would likely work. More importantly though, I can't really get my head around the fuse box end of the cable, I was hoping the fuse box would easily detach from the body of the car and the connection would be obvious, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Has anyone replaced this cable, and if so can they shed any light on it? Thanks!
