driver side

remove battery cover
remove battery
remove battery box

(the rest applies to both sides)

remove outer plastic cover. this is done by releasing the metal backet on each side, which simply snaps away from the center
remove bulb. on either side of the wires leading to the bulb is a small metal bracket that holds it in place via pressure. it works on the same principle as a saftey pin. unclip both sides.
pull old bulb out, and remove it from the mount. the bulb simply sides into the mount. this may require some force to pull it out, but it will come out.

reverse to install, but do no touch the bulb with your bare hands. oil is bad for them.

replaced bulbs on both sides and never had to remove battery. It is a bit fiddly, but I'd still not remove the battery to do it.

Lol.......Rivs... I never removed the battery either ( well, actually, I dint replace my bulbs[&:]....I paid an auto spark £20 to replace all the bulbs) cos I am too lazy and dint have the time.
I watched though and he did it in double quick time without the need for removing any parts.

Hey GSXR............Mines an 02 and the sparky did it fairly easily. Yes it was tight, and yes it was fiddly, but he did manage, albeit with scraped bruised n battered fingers...lol
Obviously I'm sure he's been in this position with many different types of cars before though!
You thinkin you may have to remove some parts after all?
