Default Replacing high-pressure power steering hose

Has anyone taken on changing the high pressure hose between the power steering pump and the steering rack? My hose is leaking at the fitting and my mechanic is quoting $ 700 claiming it will take over four hours with a $ 100+ hose. Not super-crazy, but expensive enough. I don't have a lift in my garage which might make it impractical to do this, but I'd like to know for sure.

Thanks.

I searched here (none) & internet. Seems X's are not prone to this problem. Nothing anywhere. Xk & XJ instructions and plenty of complaints, but no X's. The admonition in the first YouTube video of correct tool for removal would be smart.

Thanks Dell. I get the feeling, based on the hose location and everything that's in the way, that I should just shut up and write the check!

I just paid $850 for a $50 little rubber hose (causing evap leak emmissions failure) from fuel line to fuel tank because they had to drop the entire subframe, driveline & tank. Not that I can't do it, didn't want to. Smfh!

Just replaced the line myself only took about an hour or so reached from the top to loosen the torq bolt holding the two lines in then took off passenger tire and reached up with a crows foot ratchet head and loosened the other end of the line. Took a lil finagling to get it to come out the bottom but wasn’t too bad installation went easy and everything lined right up.
