Default Resonator exhaust pipe assembly

All, I have a 2002 X-type, LHD (US), Auto, 3.0.
I have ordered and received a Walker 48348 resonator exhaust to replace my leaking exhaust pipe (at the resonator). The exhaust end of the pipe is flared with a 2.0” ID and a 2-1/16” (approximate) OD.
Looking at the exhaust it appears the pipe goes INTO the splitter (to the mufflers). I measured the pipe at the end and its OD is approximately 2-1/18” and ID 2.0”.
My question is do I need a reducer from the 2-1/16” to 2.0” to mate the exhaust pipe to the Y-splitter? TIA

From the looks of things, you may need to get an exhaust pipe roller to expand the one pipe just a fraction of an inch (1/16") to allow the pipe that you are measuring in the 3rd picture to slide inside the pipe of the second picture. From there, you apply your crimping clamp and that will shrink the outer pipe to get your seal.

Thermo thank for the response. Maybe I wrote it wrong. All the pictures are on the same exhaust pipe.
The OEM pipe fits into the muffler Y-pipe going to the mufflers. The Walker pipe appears is flared at the end to fit over the Y-pipe not inside. I believe I’m going to have to use an adapter to make it fit
2.0” ID on one side and 2.0” OD on the other.

Welcome to Machinist 101. That is purposely done. It will take a little bit of work and maybe even a bit of heat, but those two pieces that have the same dimension are meant to slide on to one another. In your case, what you may have to do is take the pipe that is 2.0" ID and using a propane torch or similar tool, heat it up. This will cause it to expand slightly. This will then give you enough room to slide the 2.0 OD pipe inside. Then as the outer pipe cools, it is going to essentially make a seal, prevent exhaust leaks. So, when you go to assemble the joint, get it nice and hot and hopefully with the help of a second person, you can push the other pipe one in one quick motion.
