Hello all,


This may sound a little "simple" however I thought it best to ask.
I have to put a new right rear marker lamp on my '05 X Type and was wondering if there are any tricks to it at all.
I am being cautious here as I would hate to end up damaging my sweet vehicle in any way.

Couldn't find it in the forums however Google pointed me back to the forum where the answer was right there.

You bring up a great point. Chances are 90% or more of issues on here have probably happened before, been diagnosed and solved. If more people would search first and then post based on what they found (or didn't) I would guess a user would be more likely to get a response quickly. I know there was a poster a week or two ago asking why he wasn't getting responses. A lot of times very limited info is given and you can tell the person didn't take the time to at least do a cursory search on here, yet wants someone to help them right away. As they say, the Lord helps those that help themselves. I'm not referring to you specifically, just something I have noticed a number of times where you see the first post from someone is "I am having big problems, help me, what could it be?" There, I'm done. just wanted to get that off my chest for a while now.

I did perform a cursory search but I think my problem was using too many words in the search.
I pulled up so many results just within this forum that I think I gave up a little too soon.
I should know better as well. I am an IT guy for goodness sake. LOL

 

Hope you got your marker lights sorted out without too much trouble.
