I found this while fixing a burned out headlight. I have a 2004 X Type 3.0 AWD 170k miles on it.
I pulled out my battery and fuse box and soddered the wire back together. And of course found 5 other things that need to be fixed!
Does anyone know what this wire goes to? It is blue and white wire that has a large connector that plugs into the engine fuse box, and also a solid green wire.
Thank You!
Monica fixed the connector blue and white, and green damn rodent
Hmmm...I replied earlier but I don't see it so I'll try again.
There are two 8 pin connectors that plug into the underside of the under hood fuse box that have a white and blue wire. The diagram below is viewing the underside of the fuse box.
JB201 has a white & blue wire at pin 3. It supplies power to the transmission control module. That control module is to the left of your left foot and is famous for getting wet and failing when seals around the windshield trim get old and leaky. Keep that in mind in the future when the car won't shift in the rain.
JB207 has a white & blue wire at pin 6. It supplies power to the LH headlight leveling motor.
Jaguar used a blend including vegetable oils to make the insulation on the wires which is why rodents like to chew them. I don't know what you have out there but in my neighborhood we have field mice that chew the wires. I put peppermint, spearmint, and/or clove oil in and around the car when it starts to get cold and the mice are looking for a winter home. Other people swear by moth ***** but I can't stand that smell.
