hi guys,

where's the best place to buy a roof rack (for a bike) from for our cars? i know there's the OEM roof rack (part # C2S1669) but i can't seem to find where to buy it from. i also know there are brands like Thule but those seem to be like $500.

also, if anyone's got one for sale, i'd definitely be interested.

I am not sure If the current Thule version uses the the hard point roof fixings or hooks over the door openings.

When I searched via the Fit Guide and X type etc I got Version 754.
Click on the thumb nails and it looks like it hooks over so bad news.

Due to low demand, other brands also adopt the hook over method.
All the ones I looked at on Ebay did.

The Wispbar looks to be a very very good item.

A totally new ( expensive ) option is the " Seasucker"

Genuine Jaguar bars regularly appear on the UK Ebay website ( but none today) for about up to £75 but no idea if someone would ship them but it is a lot less than new USA prices.
( Just to make you cry a pair went for a stupidly low price of £35 !!!! but collect only )
I bought mine off Ebay but have yet to use them.
They were missing the plastic paint shields but these are literally a piece of thick polythene so not a problem making your own.

 

Also interested in purchasing a roof rack. Will keep my eyes on this post.
