While leaving work today my check engine light was occasionally flashing but would go back off. I drove around a little more and noticed rough acceleration and idling. Eventually the check engine light came on and stayed on. I read the codes and got P0301 - Cylinder 1 misfire, P1313, and P1316. Also, I checked my battery voltage at idle using the engineering mode of the instrument cluster and got a fairly steady 11.8v in case this is one of those weird battery-related issues.

I opened up the hood but couldn't hear anything that would indicate a vacuum leak. I'm thinking therefore it's just a plug/coil but it's odd to me that it was fine all day yesterday when I was driving around quite a bit. I was also thinking it may be bad gas since I just filled up on the 24th and the pump was oddly slow.

The car is now in the shop for diagnostic and service. I've been taking it to a local Firestone since they have a mechanic who used to work at the Jaguar dealership. I will know more in the morning.

Does anyone here have any experience with this issue?

 

I got the call this morning and was told the cylinder 1 coil is bad. They're going to replace that along with all 6 plugs and the gaskets

 

Just got the car back and it's back to normal now
