Default Rust treatment for suspension parts and rear diff?

Should I just treat the rust and paint or order new struts?

You cannot treat this much corrosion. Order new struts. Where specifically are you located? Not enough detail in your signature. Looks to me like your front rotors need replacing too.

In order to do a good treatment you have to remove them and spray or dipped them in rust remove solution, otherwise do it on the car is just wasted your time and money. But you said to replace them with Volvo XC90 calipers and rotor, can you posta picture after it get done?

That's nice to know. They seem cheaper than the ford branded parts.

i need more information though. The xc90 seem to have 335mm rotors. I have seen mounts for 320mm though.

I'll try rust encapsulator from Eastwood. Then I'll cover that with rustoleum bed liner.

The front dampers does not seem to be as bad as it looks. It still working perfectly.

Wow this seem like a perfect X-Type, I prefer the cream interior(it's just my preference), but it still an awesome car
