After looking through the usual places ebay ,gumtree etc it seems that 90% of the available updates are all copies.
So I'm trying to find out how much I will be looking at for a genuine disc that will also be able to get my black screen back into working order as until I can get the Sat nav working again I can't use any of the touchscreen functions.
Does anyone have a unused disc that you don't use/need anymore that's not too expensive please? . I don't want to be paying too much because if the dvd player is broke then the disc will be of no further use unfortunately.
Looking for a Western Europe disc please(England).

 

Looks like you can get a brand new 2011/2012 western Europe disc for 199€ through navigation.com. Looks like Navmapstore.com has it cheaper at $204.

I am sure someone has had to have updated and have on old disc. Maybe someone will chime in. Did you look at your local salvage yards?

 

Am going to try all the local breakers on sat morning when I'm off work and see if there's any available.
€200 euros for a 2011 version, shock!! , I didn't think they would be that much.
Definitely will be trying breakers for a disc first to make sure it's not my dvd player that's gone faulty before spending that much on it.

Found a jaguar specialist that's a few miles doyen Road from me so am going to give them a try first.
Said it would be £35+vat to try upload the firmware.
Although he thinks the module itself is probably broken, but I don't think it is as it only went off due to trying to reset it and the discs still spin when put in it.
