Default Seat not working!

I know what you guys are thinking, what am I doing here posting my problems, but hey, they aren't mine. The S is perfect and nothing could ever go wrong with it. (Knock on wood)LOL! Well, the driver seat of my friends' X stopped working, but the passenger side still works. I don't need the crap that you guys usually give about my post beeing too vague. If I knew more, I'd tell you more. He's going to pass by later today to see what you guys have to say! If you guys could just help us out with any of the possible problems! Thank you. BTW, I'll be honest. I searched, but not much! When I search X-Type and Problems, I get an endless amount of info. LOL! Just kidding guys!

Well if this forum wasn't good enough did you try others? Why don't you ask your s-type buddies??? J/K long time no speak! Hey biggie you try seeing if there is power getting to the seat? I haven't had this problem so no help there but I'd try seeing if there is power getting to the switches and that everything is plugged in....sorry no help but that is what I'd do if it were my problematic x! BTW did the seats work before and all of a sudden they aren't...window left open and rained on?

I got this friend too and his X type make all these funny moans and groans...like something is busted ad all...really it's not my X it's my buddies...

lol

I hear that the motors go pretty quick on the seat. I would check the following:
1. Fuse
2. change stuck in the tracks...carpet..(loose stuff cought in the rails)
3. Wiring (all under seat) may have to remove seat to check...

if all those check out...look to replacing motor...

Thanks a lot guys. It's my buddies X, and his wife is the one that usually drives it. He simply came by and asked me if I have had a problems with my seat, and I said I'll ask you guys. Well, I'll let him know what you guys said. Thanks again.
