Default Steering wheel question

I have a 2002 3.0 sport. I purchased a new OEM steering wheel from e-bay which is made for my generation x-type. it's the black woodgrain one.The wheel look idenitcal to the one I have on. But when I went toreplac it the other day I notice a difference. My original wheel'sair bag mounting bolts are on the side and the new I purchased didn't have same mounts.Once I discover thatI stop the process and didn't remove the current wheel. Is there a different steering wheel made? Can anyone clear this up for me? Sorry if I'm not too clear.

Are you sure it's not a knock off? All X types use the same airbag setup...

Nice liking the sport! Especially in black! You get navigation too? BTW I'd be weary if I were you about removing the steering wheel as the airbag is in there...that is unless your car was in an accident...I'm not sure but you might want to wait til' someone on the forum answers some of your questions...everyone has been busy lately so it might be a sec before they respond!

Sorry guys, I haven't taken the old one off yet. I stop the process once I relized the two wheels looked different. Maybe I'll mess with it again this weekend.

In 04 they changed the steering wheel appearance...what year was that off of? Could just be me though who knows! I'm not sure but Racer sounded confident that all x's wheels didn't change as far as mounting...could that be off of a different jag?
