Default shifter bezel

Hi all

i have a little problem on my 2.0 v6 x-type auto ihope somebody on here can help i ve tred to download the JTIS cd but it stops half way. So might just order1 off Ebay

my problem is that iam trying to put a new automatic shifter cable on tothe car there is no problemat the gearbox end thatlooks pretty simplethe problem is where it connects to the shifter in the car is their a guidethat can show me how to remove the selector assembly and connect the cable i have done a search but to no avail

any help much appreciated

Gonna have to wait for one of our mechanics or other savy mechanical engineer types to help you with that little issue. Not alot of owners replace their shifter cables themselves. Be patient, the answer may not arrive quickly on this one.

are you talking about the cable end the it clips onto the shifter? Pop it off with a screw driver, or more info

yep thats the one i just want to remove it and replace it with a new cable i just want to know how to get the trim off around the gear shifter so that i can get to the cable

pop the ash tray open and lift up on the front of the bezel. should pop right off. be careful not to crack the lower part of the wood though.
