Shock absorbers
Roughly what should I expect to pay for a replacement set of shockers fitted to my X Type?

You ar emore than likely looking at about a $400 (USD) bill for something like this assuming you are going to have the shop buy the parts. You can get it done for $300 (USD) if you buy the parts and get the shop to install. Of note, Bilstien Comfort shocks are the OEM shocks.
PCJags, yes and no. The Sports actually use the Heavy Duty Bilstiens, but, the comforts will also work. Because the Sport is lowered 1.2 inches at the factory, they went with a slightly stiffer shock.
I need to be a bit clearer in my response. $400 USD is going to cover one end of the car. So, to do all 4 corners, you can plan on spending around $700-800 USD to have a shop supply the parts, install, and do an alignment.

Just FYI, did a quick look online in the UK for prices, at random there are many suppliers, not always easy to known if comfort or heavy duty, and price seems to stay the same for either version
