side markers
so i painted the side marker on my car, let it dry, and its a flat black, i put it on the car and u can notive the car change, so im going to wipe it off today, what did u guys use to cover up the orange and red lights.
I haven't done my x-type, but used "spray tint" on the taillights of my Stealth back in 2000 and they still look good.
I don't know where you live, but you can order it from SUMMIT.
If you painted them with paint, I don't quite see how any light output would occur. I would highly suggest againt that.
Good luck!

No, No, No, you guys got it all wrong, i didn't paint the rear lights, i painted the side lights, markers, onthe quater panels, and yeah, i relized that whe i check everytying, else, i think my best solution would to buy some window paint or something simaler,
Why would you paint anything that needs to have light output out of it? Paint will block all light.
@ Jimmy - if you tint the lights, it doesn't hinder the light output that significantly...it is vaguely noticable the lights are tinted when the running lights are one, or the brakes are hit.
If you put multiple layers of tint, or spray on there, then yeah...it gets diminished.
If you only want that smoked look, a light layer will not have any effect on light output.
Note, this is something I wouldn't do on my x.
