Default So...exactly how many quarts transmission fluid does the X really take???

Hi Everyone,

I've spent the better part of an afternoon reading conflicting information about the process of changing the transmission fluid in the X-Type. Mine has 92k miles on it, and from what I've read, is due for a change.

I've located both the rubber fill plug and the drain plug, but I can't find the exact number of quarts I need to fill with. I see 3.5, then I see 8-9. Which is it? Seems like a very straight forward process, and have the funnel with the tube that fits perfectly. Don't want to over fill or under fill. Help?

Thanks!

I think it was 10 1/2 if I recall. I changed mine a couple months back.
