So long and thanks for all the fish
Just wanted to let you all know that I'm transitioning over to the S-Type list.
Over the weekend I traveled down to a Jaguar dealer in New Jersey and picked up a '08 S-Type 4.2L with 48k miles and 9 months left on the Jaguar Select warranty. They took my '05 X-Type in trade, didn't give me nearly what I think it's worth ($4600 in the final figures), but they made the exchange easy and eliminated any problems with trying to sell it on my own). If any one in the central NJ areas is interested I'm sure they would be very happy to discuss selling it (Madison Jaguar, Madison NJ). Car is in great, great, shape I was really sorry to leave it behind.
But anyway I've really enjoyed talking about X-Types with you all over the last couple of years and I wish you all great satisfaction with, what is, a pretty sweet car.
Cheers all

Enjoy the new ride. I have contemplated stepping up to an XFR myself. So, put on the sunglasses (make sure they are not the glasses that they want for the end of the universe, might make it difficult to drive) and let the miles float away.
Glad to have had you here & enjoy the new cat!
If it were, I think he would've mentioned that
Also make sure they are not polarized
I have a pair of genuine Jaguar polarized sunglasses, and the satnav display is impossible to see through them, as the polarizing film in these displays is oriented all wrong. I'm working on a fix though...
