We have an '05 with over 225K. It's a 2.5L with Manual transmission. Everything is factory with the exception of the water pump which was replaced at 218K. Now looking into replacing the rear wheel bearings also. It's been a very dependable car for my wife as a daily driver!

Not much hassle on the maintaince.Have had it for 2yrs now.The second owner. Just had the the propshaft hanger changed. Nothing is wrong with engine. A little bit codes that needs to be changed.

 

I need to see if there's a thread for my XJ6 model like this one. I've got a '95 base model and it appears that the engine and tranny are not only original, but never opened up, based on looking and the bolts that haven't been touched or turned apparently. I just passed over 309,000 last night. It's well worn and needs a few things, which I'm working on, but runs very well. Full synthetic oil is my secret and changed about every 8,000 mi. I'm not the original owner, but I've driven it since 220,000 every day as my only car and it has never left me on the side of the road or even missed a day of service.
